Divide a CIDR block into equal smaller subnets and see every range.

Each extra bit in the prefix halves the size of the subnets and doubles their number. A /24 split to /26 gives four subnets of 64 addresses, 62 of them usable. Very large splits are limited to the first 1,024 subnets.

How do I split a /24 into smaller subnets?
Choose a longer prefix. A /25 gives two subnets, a /26 four, a /27 eight and a /28 sixteen.
How many subnets do I get?
Two to the power of the difference between the new and the original prefix length.
Can I split into subnets of different sizes?
This tool makes equal subnets. For mixed sizes, split the block in stages and split only the parts you need further.
