About

PacketUtils is a small collection of free utilities and guides for people who run their own servers. It covers firewall commands, cloud network setup and the errors that come with them.

What is here

The iptables generator builds allow and block commands, with ufw and firewalld equivalents. The guides explain problems we ran into ourselves, such as opening a port on Oracle Cloud and saving iptables rules across reboots.

How the tools work

Every tool runs in your browser. What you type is not sent to our server. We suggest you read every generated command before running it, and test firewall changes with a second SSH session open.

Corrections

Firewall behavior differs between distributions and versions. If you find a mistake or an outdated step, please tell us and we will fix it.
